RLCD d5

Hello everyone,
Well I just wanted to update on my hcg journey. I have lost 7lbs. In 5 days! How amazing is that? I haven't been getting very hungry which is good. I have had no problem sticking to the protocol. I am getting ready to branch out a bit, so I don't get too bored with the food.

RLCD day 1

I did really well today on my first day of rlcd. I stuck to the protocol with no problems at all. I wasn't hungry at any point during the day. For breakfast I drank half a cup of warm green tea with stevia in it, I had my apple as a snack. Then for lunch I had a chicken breast cooked in lemon juice and salt with a handful of cherry tomatoes, and a melba toast. It was delicious! I mean it, totally yummy! For my next meal I ate the same thing, except that I had an orange instead of an apple. I drank 6 bottles of water today and took 36 drops. I will check the scale in the morning but I am positive that I have already dropped the weight I gained from loading. Day one down!

Started protocol today

Hey everyone,
Well I started the protocol today. Today was D1 P2 (day one phase 2). Today I got to oink out, which would normally be awesome, except that i wasn't that hungry. I ate some taco bell, a brownie, a reese's peanut butter cup and drank a bunch of water. The drops tingle a wee bit when i place them under my tongue, the flavor isn't bad at all. So taking them won't be a problem. Remembering to take them maybe a problem though, because I have to take 6 drops 6 times a day. I am a total scatter brain so remembering to take all the drops is going to be a chore.
Well tomorrow is another pig out day then tuesday start the rlcd. That will be the day I know if I can really do this. If I am not hungry and the drops work as promised, I should be fine.

My shipment arrives!

Hello,
Well My shipment came today. While I would really like to get started, I unfortunately can't right now. But I will start in a day or two. I keep re-reading pounds and inches so I can adjust mentally to the protocol. I still need to buy a scale and small kitchen scale to weigh food on as well. My groceries have been purchased. I have to say since i know exactly what to eat twice a day for the next thirty days , my groceries bills are going to be much less expensive. Woot! I wonder just how much my body will be affected by the weightloss. Currently I am sore and exhausted all the time. Everything hurts and I can barely do anything without being completely wiped out. In addition I believe my ibs will become much better after the weight loss. I just want to spend the rest of my life being a "normal" size. I've spent a long time being the big girl and I don't want to be that person anymore. I also can't wait to have energy. I love my daughter and she is my world so it breaks my heart that I can't really get out and play with her. I want to be able to run around the playground with her and keep up. I want to be able to go out to the park and not have to take a nap afterward.
All of these reasons are more important that food. All of these are why I am doing this.

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!

It begins

I am currently in P1 (phase one) of the hcg diet. I'm waiting on my hcg drops to arrive. During this time I am supposed to eat like I normally do. I am especially excited about p2d1(phase 2 day 1) and d2 because I get to pig out. That's right! For the first two days of my diet , I have to be an oinker. I am going to get some donuts, filet o fish, etc. Then on p2d3 I start the rlcd (really low calorie diet). Here's a layout of what I will be eating on it:

Breakfast:

  • Black Coffee or
  • Green Tea or
  • Yerba Mate Tea or
  • Wu Long Tea or
  • Chamomile Tea

You may have as much as you desire. You may sweeten the tea and coffee with Stevia, but no other sweeteners should be used. Make sure that the Stevia doesn’t contain any additional ingredients i.e erythritol, dextrose, etc.

Lunch:

1. 100 grams (weighed raw) of grilled (no oil or fat) one of the meat choices below:

  • beef – This is not an ideal choice of protein. If you do have beef, limit it to a lean cut like Round Roast or London Broil and only have beef 2-3 times per week.
  • veal
  • fresh white fish (should not be frozen) – Ayr, Cat Fish, Cod, Coley, Dover Sole, Flounder, Flying Fish, Haddock, Hake, Halibut, Hoki, John Dory, Kalabasu, Lemon Sole, Ling, Monk Fish, Parrot Fish, Plaice, Pollack, Pomfret, Red & Grey Mullet, Red Fish, Red Snapper, Rohu, Sea Bass, Sea Bream, Shark, Skate, Tilapia, Turbot, and Whiting. ** The best place to buy FRESH fish would be a local health food store if you live in a land-locked state.
  • chicken breast
  • shell fish (shrimp, crab, prawn, lobster, etc)
  • Very occasionally we allow egg – boiled, poached or raw – to people who develop an aversion to meat, but in this case they must add the white of three eggs to the one they eat whole.
  • **(Per Pounds and Inches, American beef has almost double the caloric value of South Italian beef, which is not marbled with fat. The marbling is impossible to remove. In America, therefore, low-grade veal should be used for one meal and fish (excluding all those species such as herring, mackerel, tuna, salmon, eel, etc., which have a high fat content, and all dried smoked or pickled fish), chicken breast, lobster, crawfish, prawns, shrimps, crabmeat or kidneys for the other meal.)

2. One large handful of one of the following vegetables:

  • spinach
  • chard
  • chicory
  • beet greens
  • lettuce of any kind
  • tomatoes
  • celery
  • fennel
  • white, yellow or red onions
  • red radishes
  • cucumbers
  • asparagus
  • cabbage

These can be eaten raw, steamed, grilled or boiled. Do not mix vegetables in the same meal.

3. One of the following fruits:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 orange
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 handful of strawberries

4. One grissini breadstick or one melba toast.

Dinner:

The same 4 choices as for lunch.

Drinks Allowed:

Plain spring water, mineral water, tea, coffee, Zevia. You should drink at least 2 liters of these liquids per day. We actually recommend drinking 1/2 of your weight in ounces per day. For example, if you weigh 200lbs you’ll want to drink a min. of 100oz of water daily.
** Zevia is not on the original protocol. Use at your own risk.

Seasonings Allowed:

Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc. Spices should be in their natural form for best results. Watch for sugar, artificial sweeteners, mixed veggies, or foods not allowed on the diet (i.e. carrots) in your spices!

Yes, I know it's very strict. But I also know that it works and you don't get hungry on it. So I can handle it. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. I have been finding good motivational material. I'm a costumer and I have always had to get creative with fat girl costumes. Now for the first time ever I am looking at normal sized characters to costume as. This is so exciting for me. I would never at my current size try to dress as ZEV Bellringer from lexx, or virginia lewis from tenth kingdom. However, at my goal weight I can be either of those with no problem.

I am anxiously awaiting my shipment and I will keep you posted.

Welcome to my journey

Hey Everyone ,
Welcome to my weight loss and life changing journey. I have no idea what the next 45 days will hold in store for me, and I invite you to come along for the ride. A little background.
I was a normal sized child. I was a very active kid, I played all kinds of sports and i stayed trim. When I turned thirteen I not only hit puberty , but my parents got divorced. My weight skyrocketed, in a matter of months I went from my normal healthy active self. To an overweight unhappy girl, with extremely low self esteem. In elementary school I was well liked and popular. IN middle school i was the fat girl that was constantly harassed and labeled with inaccurate titles. Somewhere between my freshman and sophomore year of high school i grew a backbone and the taunting quickly stopped. However the self loathing and lack of health did not. In fact when I was 16 I had my gallbladder taken out, shortly after I developed IBS. Now I was fat, unhealthy and had an embarrassing and debilitating disorder to contend with. Fast forward to me at 21 battling my weight and losing. I did get a few pounds knocked off and was temporarily happy with myself. I met my amazing husband that year and we were married within ten months. Fast forward again to three years later and the arrival of our daughter Lillian. When I was pregnant with Lil I had an extreme form of morning sickness and I literally threw up for 7 months straight. I lost 25 lbs, but I was never hungry. I did have horrible food cravings, which led to disastrous vomiting bouts, but i still was not hungry. I kept that weight off for a year. My daughter is now 2 years and 5 months old and I am at the largest i have ever been. I am 5'4 and I weigh 213 lbs. My clothes no longer fit, I am constantly exhausted and I am fighting with my body image.
So I am ready to do whatever to get the weight off, I have tried working out and eating "right" and it just does not work for me. However, I found something new and I am putting a lot of hope into it. HCG. Have you heard of it? I hadn't either. Then i met a friend for dinner and she looked amazing. She had recently lost 40 lbs, in a month using the hcg diet. So I have just ordered the 45 day kit. I plan on doing thirty days, going into maintenance for a month and then proceeding with the next 15. My goal weight is 150. That means I have to lose 63 lbs. Ideally if i weigh 150 i should be a size 10/12. It will be the first time since puberty that I can buy clothes off the rack. This weight loss should coincide with my 28th birthday on November 12th. I am giving myself this gift, the gift of being a new person. I really hope you will stick with me as I write about the struggles and triumphs to come.
